West Kerry Board AGM
At the AGM of the West Kerry Board last Wednesday January 15th in the Dingle GAA Clubhouse in Páirc an Ághasaigh, Derry Ó Murchú was selected as the new West Kerry Board Chairperson for 2014. John O’Connor was selected as Secretary, John Foley and John Courtney selected as Vice Chairpersons, Tim Dennehy selected as Referees Administrator, Paddy Healy selected as President and Breandán Fitzgerald selected as PRO. The position of Treasurer was unfilled and should anybody be interested in this post contact your Club Secretary or West Kerry Secretary.
Outgoing Chairperson of the West Kerry Board Johnny Lenihan thanked all Officers, Team Managers and all West Kerry Clubs for all the support that he had received in his three years as Chairperson. Johnny Lenihan asked that Clubs would stay with West Kerry at all levels so that West Kerry players would have a better opportunity to win County Championships. Incoming Chairman Derry Ó Murchú said that his main priorities would be the re-establishing of the West Kerry Championship as one of the premier competitions in the county and facilitating West Kerry Teams winning County Championships again.
West Kerry Board Affiliation
West Kerry Board Affiliation for 2014 was kept at €450 and is due at the next West Kerry Board meeting which is set for the 19th of February.
Management of Kerry Teams
The West Kerry Board wished past West Kerry Players all the best with their Kerry positions for 2014 - Dingle’s Diarmuid Murphy with the Kerry Seniors, An Ghaeltacht’s Darragh Ó Sé with the Kerry U21’s and Castlegregory’s Michael O’Shea with the Kerry Minors.
Kerry Seniors
Tough luck to the Kerry Seniors against Cork in the McGrath Cup Final, especially the West Kerry contingent of Mikey Geaney, Paul Geaney and Alan Fitzgerald. All in West Kerry are looking forward to the start of the National League on Saturday the 1st of February against All Ireland Winners Dublin in Croke Park.
Corn Uí Mhuirí Quarter Final
Well done to Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne who beat Coláiste Chríost Rí in the Corn Uí Mhuirí Quarter Final on Wednesday January 22nd after extra time.
Lispole Senior Management Team for 2014
Brendan O’Shea will continue to manage the Lispole Senior Football Team in 2014. Brendan will be ably assisted again this year by Gerald Griffin and Michael Griffin. So best of luck to Brendan, Gerald and Michael with the Lispole Senior Football Team in 2014.
Annascaul Senior Management Team for 2014
Last years Chairman of the West Kerry Board Johnny Lenihan has taken up a new position for 2014. Johnny and Adrian O’Donnell are now joint managers of the Annascaul Senior Football Team for 2014. They are ably assisted by selector Tom Kennedy. Best of luck to Johnny, Adrian and Tom with the Annascaul Senior Football Team in 2014.
Castlegregory Senior Management Team for 2014
Ger O Callaghan will continue in charge of the Castlegregory Senior Football Team for 2014. Ger will be ably assisted by selectors John Joe Connor and Johnny Healy. Best of luck to Ger, John Joe and Johnny with the Castlegregory Senior Football Team in 2014.

Castlegregory GAA Coiste Na nÓg would like to thank all who registered for the 2014 Season on Sunday last. Castlegregory GAA Coiste Na nÓg urges anyone who has yet to register to do it as soon as possible as only registered players will be eligible to train.
Castlegregory GAA Coiste na nÓg New Under 6 Fun Football Initiative
Castlegregory Coiste Na nÓg are putting a new initiative in place for 2014 - a fun under 6 introduction to the GAA. It will involve a 45min non competitive fun session on Saturdays and include an introduction to the most basic of GAA skills required to progress and enjoy the next level. Training dates to be announced in March. Any parent with enquiries should contact John O Connor 087 6165528.
Dingle GAA Medal Presentation & Get Together 2014
This will be held on Saturday 8th February @ 19.30 in the Dingle Skellig Hotel. Special guest on the night is Oisín McConville. Tickets are €25 and can be purchased in EBS Office Green Street.
Dingle GAA Minor Management 2014
Paul Fitzmaurice was ratified as the new Dingle Minor Manager. Jason Murphy, John Flannery, Damien Foley and Vincent Flannery make up his Management Team.
Dingle GAA Membership for 2014
Club Membership is now due. €30 for Minor, €50 for Ordinary & €150 for Gold (1 lotto per week for the year and admittance into all home games under Dingle GAA control). Membership must be paid by 14th March 2014.
