Gáirdín Mhuire Gairdín Mhuire Day Care Centre in Green Street Dingle is a Centre specifically designed with older people's needs in mind. The Centre's primary function is to serve the older population of Corca Dhuibhne by providing services and a support centre for those who wish to avail of it. Activities/Imeachtaí Activities at the Centre include, for example, Art and Crafts, charity projects in association with charitable organisations, for example, Chernobyl’s Children’s Project, bingo, skittles, exercises, computer and internet access and most importantly caint agus craic, singing and dancing. Facilities/Áiseanna Facilities at Gairdín Mhuire include our own bus which can pick you up at your door on a selected day. Tea and homemade scones on arrival and in the afternoon a four course dinner, nursing care, showers (including assisted showers), physiotherapy, chiropody at reduced rates, occupational therapy, acupuncture and hairdressing. Staff/Foireann The staff at Ghairdín Mhuire are always on hand to help and advise our clients in any way we can. We provide a support mechanism in the community and encourage our clients to discuss their concerns whether they be medical or social. Confidentiality is always assured and we do our best to assist in sorting out whatever challenges may arise for our client’s whether it be by putting our clients in touch with the appropriate authority or just to offer a sympathetic ear. Admission Policy/Polasaí Iontrála At Gairdín Mhuire we have an admission policy which is a simple matter of filling out an application form, either on arrival at the day care centre or via the Public Health Nurse or General Practitioner (for our own records).
